CNC Milling Services

Our CNC milling service produces precision prismatic parts — housings, brackets, plates, manifolds and fixtures — on 3-, 4- and 5-axis machining centers. Parts are milled from solid metal or plastic stock to your CAD model and inspected before shipping.

What Is CNC Milling?

CNC milling uses rotating multi-point cutting tools to remove material from a workpiece clamped on the machine table. Adding a fourth or fifth axis lets the machine reach more faces in a single setup, which improves accuracy between features and reduces cost on complex parts.

Typical Milled Parts

  • Enclosures and housings for electronics and instruments
  • Brackets, mounting plates and frames for automation equipment
  • Heat sinks and cooling plates
  • Jigs, fixtures and tooling components
  • Medical and semiconductor equipment components

Design Tips for Milled Parts

  • Add internal corner radii slightly larger than the cutter radius to avoid slow, small tools.
  • Keep cavity depth under about four times the cavity width where possible.
  • Apply tight tolerances only to functional features — it keeps cost down.
  • Use standard hole sizes and thread specifications.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between 3-axis and 5-axis milling?

3-axis milling moves the tool in X, Y and Z only, so the part must be re-clamped to reach other faces. 5-axis milling adds two rotary axes, allowing complex geometry and multiple faces to be machined in one setup.

Which materials can you mill?

Aluminum alloys, stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, brass, copper, titanium and engineering plastics such as PEEK, POM and ABS.

How fast can I get milled prototypes?

Typical prototype lead time is [TBC: lead_time_proto], depending on complexity, quantity and finishing.
